We’re moving!

Seed Savers Albury-Wodonga has had terrific support from the National Environment Centre (NEC) for our activities since we first formed (technically, even before the group became official!). We’re most grateful for this and the use of the NEC as a venue for our events.

Due to a number of changes in circumstances, we are moving our base from the NEC to the Sustainable Activity Centre, known as the SAC, in Wodonga. The centre is in the former Tourist Information building on the Lincoln Causeway, between Hot House Theatre and La Maison Cafe. The SAC offers community groups like ours a central location to host events and store our equipment. We think it’s going to be a great fit for us! Check out the SAC website or facebook page, if you’d like to find out more (or check it out at our next event!).

In order to relocate our gear (we have a chest freezer, the seeds, a table, cupboard, seed sieves and a few other bits and pieces) we are looking for some helpers to assist the committee. We’ve got some suitable vehicles, but could do with some extra muscles. And yes, lifting is involved.

We plan to complete the move on the evening of Wednesday March 15th.
If you were willing and available, you might help with loading at the NEC from 5:30pm and/or unloading at the SAC from about 6:30pm. It won’t be a huge job, but a good number of hands will help to make it quicker and easier.

If you can help, please indicate which parts/times using this online form.

And please take note for our upcoming events – we’ll be meeting in Wodonga, not Thurgoona!
